Gustav Klimt


klimt may not have used religois imagery, but his paintings are as adorned as much as some of the icon paintings i have looked at, and the swirling ritch colours elevate the sacred-ness of his paintings. his female subjects could easly be taken for maddonas.

Horniman Museum






I decided to visit The Horniman Museum to look at the voodoo shrines, it was amazing i am very inspired by the way they collected old 'usless' things and elevated the ordianary everyday to the sacred.
